Social Contributions
We will continue to pursue social contributions that are related to food through the activities of our core business.
Promotion of Food Education
We promote nutrition education activities through classes at elementary schools and cooking workshops with the aim of passing on food culture and nurturing the next generation. We convey the importance and enjoyment of food to a wide range of children, the future leaders of the world.

Continuation of Children’s Food Alliance Initiative
In responce to the growing urgency faced by economically struggling households due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are continuing our Children’s Food Alliance program with the certified NPO Florence since fiscal year 2021.
With the cooperation of 34 food manufacturers and daily goods wholesalers, we have delivered over 570,000 items to approximately 55,000 households with children through about 65 welfare organizations by the end of fiscal year 2023.

Food Donations to Children’s Cafeterias and Food Banks
In addition to activities that reduce food loss, we continuously provide food support through nationwide food bank organizations and local children’s cafeteria networks. By donating food prior to expiration, etc, these activities contribute not only to food loss reduction but also to society at large.

Contributing to Local Communities and the Next Generation
~Logistics Center Tours for Social Studies Programs~
Our logistics centers welcome social studies visits from local elementary schools. By learning about the mechanisms of logistics, how goods are stored, and touring various facilities within our warehouses, we provide the next generation with opportunities to deepen their understanding of food.

Remote Islands and Regional Revitalization Initiatives
Japan Food Islands is an association established in April 2020 to promote the food industry and improve the livelihoods of producers living on remote islands.
NIPPON ACCESS fully endorses the association’s philosophy and is involved in remote islands promotion and regional development initiatives to help resolve problems such as the declining birthrate, aging population, and depopulation in rural areas. Our main activities are product development in collaboration with producers and sales support to mass merchandisers.

Development of Plant-Based Foods
MAL de MEAT, a plant-based food that we were involved in developing, addresses the needs of health-conscious consumers while solving environmental and social issues like food shortages (the protein crisis) that are a concern due to the projected population growth in the future.
In addition, we are also taking part in challenges like our Karada Smile Project, as well as developing various other plant-based products, such as the plant-based fried chicken substitute, Nazo Kara.

Karada Smile Project
The Karada Smile Project is a health promotion project for working women by NIPPON ACCESS, which has been involved in Japan’s food industry as a comprehensive food wholesaler for many years.
In alignment with our “healthy, fun, easy, and tasty” concept, we strive to provide products that are easy to prepare, delicious, and nutritiously balanced to help busy individuals maintain a healthy diet.

Support for Umaimon Koshien, High School Cooking Competition
We are one of the corporate sponsor partners of Umaimon Koshien, a food project that supports the dreams of high school students.
This competition has been held since 2012 under the concepts of creating a platform for dreams, fostering human resources, and revitalizing local communities. By communicating the importance of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries through food, it supports dreams, enlivens regions, and energizes Japan.

Support for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP)
~School Meals Bringing Dreams to Children’s Futures~
Through employee fundraising and participation in events, we support the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) school feeding activities. The UN WFP is the world’s largest humanitarian aid organization working toward the goal of a world without hunger.
