The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted at the United Nations Summit in 2015 have spawned a global movement to realize a sustainable society. NIPPON ACCESS strongly agrees with the SDGs’ philosophy of leaving no one on earth behind. Through business initiatives focused on the areas of “Food Safety and Security,” “Global Environment,” “Working Environment,” and “Social Contributions,” we contribute to the realization of the SDGs and the creation of a sustainable society.

NIPPON ACCESS carries out its business activities under our corporate philosophy of “Serving as a bridge to the future for people and food by uniting our talents and improving job satisfaction through ‘protecting, connecting, and creating’ taste that touches people’s hearts.”
Based on this corporate philosophy, we regard the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which were adopted by the United Nations in 2015, as important objectives and will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by simultaneously addressing social issues through our core business activities and creating new value.

In order to contribute to solving social issues presented by the SDGs, NIPPON ACCESS will organize and focus on four areas in its business activities:

Basic Principles
As a company that handles food, the NIPPON ACCESS Group conducts its business activities with a great appreciation for the blessings of people and nature. We consider it our social responsibility to pass on the source of all life that is the global environment to future generations in a healthier state and contribute to building a sustainable society through communication with customers, society, employees, shareholders, and other stakeholders.
Action Guidelines
- We will work to minimize environmental impact by reducing energy consumption, saving resources, reducing waste, recycling, and reducing exhaust gas emissions.
- We will promote the development of products and services that contribute to environmental conservation.
- We will strive to prevent environmental pollution through the proper disposal of waste.
- We will strive to reduce food loss through various activities as a company.
- We will strive to ensure food safety and security.
- We will establish management standards for compliance with environmental laws and regulations and work to prevent environmental risks.
- We will continuously improve environmental performance through our environmental management system initiatives.
- We will strive to foster human resources who can contribute to environmental conservation, while improving the working environment.
- We will actively promote social contribution activities to coexist with society.
- This environmental policy will be fully disseminated within the organization and made public outside the company.

NIPPON ACCESS Sustainable Procurement Policy
NIPPON ACCESS has established its Sustainable Procurement Policy and promotes sustainable procurement by seeking the understanding and cooperation of suppliers regarding the items specified below and encouraging their implementation.
- Respecting employee human rights and not engaging in any inhumane treatment such as harassment or abuse.
- Not forcing employees to engage in labor and not employing children who have not reached the minimum age for employment.
- Not discriminating on the basis of gender, race, religion, or any other factors.
- Complying with the legal minimum wage and striving to pay more than a living wage.
- Respecting employees’ right to organize and bargain collectively in order to facilitate smoother labor-management relations.
- Managing employees’ working hours, holidays, and leave appropriately and prohibiting excessive overtime work.
- Striving to provide employees with a safe, sanitary, and healthy working environment.
- Considering the impact of business activities on local communities, biodiversity, pollution, and other environmental issues and striving to reduce consumption of energy, water, and other resources, as well as greenhouse gas and waste emissions.
- Complying with relevant laws and international rules and thoroughly preventing corruption and promoting fair trade.
- Disclosing timely and appropriate information on each of the above items.

Sustainable Procurement Management Guidelines
1.Basic Concept
At NIPPON ACCESS, we believe in delivering taste that touches the heart, and in line with our corporate mission to “protect, connect, and create,” we offer a wide variety of food products to a diverse range of customers, including consumers and businesses, as a comprehensive wholesaler. We recognize that ensuring sustainability in the supply chain is crucial to social responsibility in the food business, and to this end, we have established the NIPPON ACCESS Sustainable Procurement Policy and implemented these guidelines to ensure its effectiveness, contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.
2.Scope
In line with our NIPPON ACCESS Sustainable Procurement Policy, we strive to communicate with all of our suppliers.
3.Monitoring
We share our NIPPON ACCESS Sustainable Procurement Policy with our private brand suppliers and conduct regular surveys to confirm that sustainable initiatives are being implemented.
4.Response to Violations
If we identify any violations of the NIPPON ACCESS Sustainable Procurement Policy, we will engage in dialogue with the supplier to work toward improvement.
